Our Senses Garden
You may have noticed our senses garden is starting to come along nicely. We have laid a path of gravel and loose slate to create texture and sound as the children walk through.
Our insect house is still awaiting its first visitors, we’re hoping that the lavender will entice some insects in.
Our water feature is looking great and creates a calming atmosphere. The children can sit on logs and watch and listen as the water trickles down. It has also caught the attention of a little chaffinch which comes to visit everyday.
The children are really enjoying discovering new objects hidden around the garden, including the fairy garden and giant snail, which both encourage them to talk about maths, by looking at sizes and making comparisons.
We still have lots to do and hope to add more to the garden after half term.
Come and have a wander round and see what you can find.
